Media Coordinator Scholarship

Every year Cumberland County Media Services Awards a scholarship to an individual who is pursuing their Library Science Degree. The media scholarship has been renamed to the Director’s Scholarship in honor of Sylvia Dean and Dr. Edna Cogdell. Money can be donated in honor of either director by contacting Donna Pope.

Due date: March 25, 2020

Media Coordinator Scholarship Application 2019 will be posted the first of the year.

Application Instructions:

1.  The application form must be completed and submitted to the chairperson by March 25, 2020. Incomplete applications will be null and void.
2.  The applicant must show evidence of enrollment in a School of Library Science and must have completed a minimum of six hours.
3.  The applicant should secure recommendations from two references, one of which should be the current principal.
4.  The applicant should complete the attached media scholarship questionnaire.
5.  The applicant is responsible for submitting a copy of their current transcript or copies of grades from all classes taken.
